Outreach Lead & Programmer, FRC Team 9470

Software & Operations · Fremont, CA

  • Shoot on the move: integrated airtime interpolation, a five-step iterative lookahead and angular feedforward into our 2026 robot's aiming in Java/WPILib, porting and adapting Team Ninja's approach.
  • Added a rotation lock, an autonomous routine and BLine path following; tuned the intake, feed and hood angle; helped map the shooter lookup table that sets motor velocity and launch angle from live distance.
  • Helped wire the swerve drive and build the robot, and coordinated strategy and alliance play.
  • Raised $7,000+ through grants, sponsors and merch, and designed the team's branding and merch.
  • Mentored 3 FIRST teams and helped teach a robotics summer camp for 30+ kids.

High school

Neurodivergent of FIRST

FRC community · accessibility

  • Represented Neurodivergent of FIRST and made an accessibility presentation shown at the FRC World Championship.
  • Helped set up quiet rooms and sensory tools at district competitions.
  • Designed and 3D-printed 45 sensory fidget toys for Friends of Children with Special Needs.

Hardware Designer & Researcher, Pazzi Lab

reThink64 · Bioengineering · Fremont, CA

  • Designed a multiplex diffusion-cell fixture in Onshape (with Claude over MCP) and printed it on an A1, so the lab could run up to 96 transdermal-delivery tests in parallel instead of buying a ~$500 commercial Franz cell for each.
  • Each printed unit uses about $1.56 of filament. The team evaluated it against commercial Franz cells, and the manuscript is being prepared for publication in Nature Biomedical Engineering (impact factor 26.3).
  • Worked with 3D printing manufacturers to recycle thousands of the lab's waste polypropylene pipette boxes into printer filament for structural parts.

Contracting & interning at Founders Inc.

Quo Labs · Cyrano · San Francisco, CA

  • Quo Labs (hardware builder), backed by a16z and a16z speedrun: assembled, wired and validated the electronic and mechanical systems of Sam, an emotionally intelligent eldercare robot that automates medication cycles and family communication, including 3D-printed parts.
  • Cyrano: short-term mechanical prototyping and camera-system work.

Octaby, assistive haptic wristband

Personal project · with collaborators

  • A camera and wristband that guide visually impaired users through fine-motor tasks, like finding objects while cooking, by turning what the camera sees into haptic pulses.
  • Built the vision backend (FastAPI with Detectron2 object detection) and an LLM-assisted serial link that turns object coordinates into haptic feedback. We designed the first prototype in Onshape.
  • Working on Octaby v2 @ Art Building in UW

2026

Building a microcar w/ friends @ UW with the Boring Club
